Temporary Placements:

Temporary child care from Nannies from the Heartland, Inc. provides families with experienced, prescreened caregivers for their children.  The registration fee is valid for as long as the family continues to use the temporary service. There is a 4-hour minimum booking for all temporary services. All temporary client families must complete and sign a temporary application prior to booking any service. Nannies from the Heartland, Inc. does not guarantee filling temporary requests.

Service Fees (Days, Evenings, Weekend)
Agency Fee
$15 per placement date, starting before 6:00 p.m.     
$10 per placement date, starting after 6:00 p.m.
Nanny Rates
$15 per hour
 
Special Service Fees (Hotel, Special Event, Groups, etc.)
Agency Fee
Hotel Care: $25 per placement date
Special Event or Group: start at $30 per placement date and depend upon client needs
(number of nannies, locations, expectations, etc.)
Nanny Rates
$16 per hour, per nanny

 

Service Fees (Vacationing/Overnight)
The caregiver is responsible for the care of the children as well as maintaining their schedules and performing basic household duties while the parents are on vacation or traveling on business. 
Nanny fee:  $225 per 24-hour period for 1-2 children and $10.00 for each additional child. 
Agency Fee:  $20.00 per 24-hour period
 
*Registration Fees
The registration fee is $50.00 per family, and is good for as long as you continue to use the service (no renewal). We offer a $25.00 registration fee to families visiting the Twin Cities and needing child care in their hotel, and a $50.00 registration fee to groups or special events requiring one or more nannies at their event site. 
All registration fees are non-refundable and are charged once a request for service is submitted.

 

Cancellation Policy
Once a booking has been confirmed with the client, the agency fee will be charged and is non-refundable.  If the client cancels with less than 48 hours notice, then the client agrees to also pay the 4 hour minimum for the child care provider.  The agency will forward the caregiver’s payment to her.
 
Payments
Caregivers are paid directly by the family, by check or cash. ALL agency and registration fees for temporary services must be paid by credit card, and are charged at the time the booking is confirmed. We accept VISA or MasterCard credit cards.  We do not accept personal checks for agency fees.
 
Caregiver Screening
All caregivers are screened by the agency, which includes the following:
    - Detailed applications                      - Personal Interviews                      - Driving check    
        - Criminal checks                               - Social Security Trace                     - Reference checks

Because of the requirements for work experience and for post secondary education related to child development (or extensive child care experience), the temporary nannies will typically be at least 21 years old. All caregivers are non-smokers and have their own reliable transportation to your home. They are particularly well qualified to step into new situations with a minimum of instruction.  You and your children will love them!

Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
